What we collect, and where from
- From the "Request your menu" form on the site: café name, city (and the country it is in), Instagram handle (optional), WhatsApp number, and your note (optional), plus the currency the page was showing.
- From WhatsApp: your number, your name as it appears on WhatsApp, and the messages and photos you send us about your menu.
- From your browser: on our public pages we use no cookies and no trackers. The site keeps a few small settings on your own device, such as the currency you picked and whether you have already seen the opening animation. They stay on your device; the only one that reaches us is the currency, and only when you send the form. The one exception is the private page below.
- From the private page we hand to a café's owner in an envelope ("your copy on your phone"): each time it opens, we record the time, whether it was opened from the card's code or from a link, the kind of device (iPhone, Android, other phone, tablet, computer), the device language, bright or dark mode, the approximate city and country from the network, a random number the browser keeps so we can tell whether more than one person opened it, how long the page stayed open, how far down it was read, and what was tapped (the demo menu, save or print, share, «I want it»). We do not record IP addresses, names, phone numbers or precise location.
Why we collect it
To reply to you about your menu, to build the demo, and to look after your menu if you become a client. We do not use your number for marketing messages, and we never add you to any broadcast list. And the private page's records: so Ibrahim knows whether the page reached the café's owner and when to follow up, instead of asking every day.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. Those who process it on our behalf:
- Netlify: hosts the site and receives the form entries and the private page's open records, which are stored with it outside Saudi Arabia.
- WhatsApp (Meta): processes the messages between us under its own policy.
- Google Fonts: our pages load their fonts from Google, so Google sees your device's IP address when the page opens.
So your data is stored outside Saudi Arabia, and we send it to these providers only as far as needed to reply to you and serve you.
How long we keep it
We keep your request and our conversation while there is contact about your menu, and while you are a client. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it from our side and from the site's form entries. We delete the private page's open records after 180 days, or as soon as you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, at any time, with a WhatsApp message to +966 50 310 3354. We reply within 24 hours. And if you want the open records of your private page deleted, a WhatsApp message to the same number is enough; we delete them as soon as you ask.
Saudi Personal Data Protection Law
We follow the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PDPL), and we process your data only for the purpose you sent it for.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
